Communication and conflict in everyday life is one thing. Communication and conflict in intimate relationships is entirely another.

If you’ve felt…

  • discouraged by your struggle to communicate clearly

  • gridlocked around misunderstanding each other at times

  • unsure about how to change the pattern you’re in

AND you want to learn how to…

  • speak the same language

  • make decisions and follow through on solutions that benefit you both

  • work together (not against each other) to address your concerns AND move toward shared goals

...then couples coaching is your next best step.

We sought out coaching because we didn’t have the most positive way to communicate with one another when it came to a few major issues. Through our work with Kensi, we gained the healthy communication strategies we were looking for. There’s a new sense of trust between the two of us now. Our sessions still come up from time to time and it makes me smile because I know deep down we took our sessions seriously and continue to use the tools we learned today!

Through couples coaching, you will learn to:

  • communicate in a way that leads to deep understanding and shared meaning

  • problem solve any solvable obstacle standing in your way

  • accept yourself and your spouse’s personality differences

  • appreciate the strengths your partner brings to the relationship

  • shift your thinking to support your relationship

  • work together toward your God-given dreams and desires

Before couples coaching, I would say our marriage was good, but...since couples coaching, our marriage is even better. Our relationship has grown in so many ways I didn’t even know was possible. We’ve obtained this relational oneness and we understand why we are the way we are and how our minds operate differently. Our communication has grown and deepened, which ultimately for us, has led to deeper intimacy...that’s been one of the best parts for me. I believe that’s what God wants from us, for our marriages to reflect and honor him.
[As a CPA], the “tax season cycle” highlighted underlying issues we’d have throughout the year. That time of year just compounded stress which brought all of our issues to light. We’d suppress it down until after tax season, but things would never get resolved. Now, I would say we’re head and shoulders above where we were. Before couples coaching, we would listen to the podcast and take notes, and talk about what we heard, but we still didn’t know how to implement the tools. So just being able to learn relationship tools, not to mention having Kensi coach us through how to use them, made all the difference for me.

*Couples coaching at Brave Marriage is NOT:

  • a substitute for individual or couples therapy. Coaching is skills-based, present-focused, and intended to help couples take their relationship from good to great.

  • the same as consulting or advice-giving. Couples coaching is not a quick fix to unresolved problems. It is a tool that empowers couples to communicate, think, and relate in healthier, more constructive ways so that they learn to effectively problem solve new goals and issues on their own.

After meeting and working with Kensi, we now fully understand what it means to be in a committed relationship with Christ. We treat each other so much better and feel freer to pursue all of our individual goals and relationship goals. Life is 100x better, having learned how to communicate effectively, how to have equality in marriage and share responsibility, how to raise one another with love, and how to be the best version of ourselves for each other.
