Kensi Duszynski, MA, LMFT, CPC
Kensi Duszynski is a licensed marriage and family therapist, certified professional coach, and host of the Brave Marriage Podcast. After graduating from Asbury University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, Kensi received her Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary. Before opening her private practice in 2015, Kensi worked for Focus on the Family in Colorado Springs, CO and Ideals for Families and Communities in Frankfort, KY.
Based in Lexington, KY, Kensi specializes in working with married couples. Her vision is to see couples do the hard work upfront so that they can enjoy healthy lives and meaningful marriages, no matter what life throws their way.
Kensi is a certified facilitator of SYMBIS Assessment, Prepare-Enrich Assessments, and the Gottman Relationship Checkup. In addition to licensure as an LMFT, she has obtained additional supervision and training to become a Certified Relationship Enhancement Therapist, Educator, and Coach. Furthermore, she is certified in Gottman Method Level I, an evidence-based approach to couples counseling, and has sought 50+ hours of continued education in communication, conflict, healthy sexuality, pregnancy loss, and infertility.
Kensi has authored two curriculums: 1) WedWell, a faith-based premarital coaching program and 2) Courageous Conversations, an experiential communication workshop for couples in all walks of life.
She is a member of the American Association for Christian Counselors, the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists, and former chair of Asbury Seminary’s Counseling Alumni Board. Kensi and her husband, Evan, have been married for 7 years. As a couple, they enjoy walking and talking about all things life, marriage, faith, formation, business, education & leadership.
